Membership

CHILL membership is open to any health related provider of library services within the London area (inside the M25) which is non-profit-making and is not aligned to an NHS or university- related library group. There are currently 44 members, plus a further 4 affiliate members from organisations outside the London area. There is a membership fee, currently £40 per annum.

Benefits

The principal benefits for members include:

  • Saving money on serials and book purchasing
  • Our regular meetings (3 p.a.) and e-mail discussion list, which provide professional networking and updates on topical issues
  • Professional support from a like-minded peer group
  • Professional development and training opportunities
  • A collective voice for the independent health libraries sector

Subscription costs

CHILL welcomes all independent libraries in the London area. The membership subscription of £40 p.a. gives access to all CHILL activities

Independent health libraries outside London may join as affiliate members. A reduced membership fee of £20 p.a. allows affiliates to benefit directly from all activities apart from attending CHILL meetings.
